The 23rd China International Digital Interactive Entertainment Exhibition (ChinaJoy 2026) opened in Shanghai on July 31. Themed Level Up With AI, the expo covers over 140,000 square meters, attracting nearly 900 exhibitors from 39 countries and regions (including 275 foreign enterprises), with expected attendance exceeding 400,000 visitors.
The expo features the newly established Vision Future cutting-edge technology zone, focusing on humanoid robots, smart wearables, and spatial computing; and the first-ever ChinaJoy Next Play innovative gaming experience zone, showcasing AI NPCs and AIGC-generated game content. Leading companies including Tencent, NetEase, Blizzard, Sony PlayStation, and Qualcomm are participating, with over 1,000 games available for hands-on play. A delegation of 25 UK game companies attended the BTOB business matchmaking pavilion. According to the China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association, the AI R&D application rate among domestic game enterprises has reached 86.36%.
