Global Treasures 100DAYS International Jewelry Artists Exhibition Opens at Shanghai BFC

On August 12, JSD SPACE, the core industrial space of the Shanghai International Jewelry and Fashion Functional Zone, located on the 26th floor of Building S2, South District, BFC Bund Finance Center, Shanghai, officially opened to the public. Coinciding with the unveiling of this space, the 100-day "Global Treasures 100 DAYS International Jewelry Artists Exhibition" was grandly launched. The inaugural headline special exhibition, "Radiance of China Special Exhibition: Marvels of Elegance," made its debut to the public, fostering a dialogue between Eastern craftsmanship and global design, and adding a new international platform for exhibition and exchange to Shanghai's efforts in building an international jewelry and fashion hub.

As a landmark physical achievement in the development of the Shanghai International Jewelry and Fashion Functional Zone, JSD SPACE carries a vital industrial mission. Serving as the core front-end carrier in the Zone's tripartite synergy system—comprising a front-end international window, mid-end industry cluster, and back-end empowerment platform—it precisely fills the gap in international physical exhibition services for global designers, industry institutions, and public collectors in the region. This strongly propels the Dayuyuan 100-billion-yuan jewelry and fashion industry cluster to a new level. Leveraging the landmark location advantage of the Bund Finance Center, JSD SPACE integrates seven core functions to create a one-stop jewelry industry service complex. These seven functions cover a full range of scenarios, including government services, bonded exhibitions, business negotiations, creative design, event launches, transaction and circulation, and high-end customization. Meanwhile, the space has simultaneously implemented professional supporting services such as intellectual property protection, international jewelry testing and certification, and bonded exhibition and trade. This fully connects the entire chain from original design and craft R&D to market transactions, helping independent designers and jewelry brands at home and abroad achieve rapid commercialization of their creative achievements, and establishing JSD SPACE as a key hub linking global jewelry creative resources with Shanghai's local industrial market.

Along with the official unveiling of JSD SPACE, the "Global Treasures 100 DAYS International Jewelry Artists Exhibition" officially opened. Closely aligned with the Functional Zone's development positioning of cultivating a high-end design and customization center and building an industry integration and innovation center, the exhibition is curated around the core theme "Beneath the Vast Sky, Exquisite Gems Bear Witness." Rooted in Eastern aesthetics, the exhibition gathers diverse jewelry art creation forces from around the world, aiming to build a regularized integrated platform for dialogue between Chinese and foreign designers, centralized display of artistic achievements, and fashion consumption experiences, thereby helping Shanghai continuously enhance its voice and influence in the international jewelry and fashion arena. At the inaugural exhibition, core artists Austy Lee and Xiao Xintong shared their inspiring creative narratives and approaches to expressing jewelry culture, and accompanied guests on a tour of the exhibition hall. The two engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics such as the integration of Chinese and Western materials and the modernization and innovation of traditional crafts, vividly demonstrating the artistic core and industrial value of this 100-day exhibition.

It is reported that the "Global Treasures 100 DAYS International Jewelry Artists Exhibition" runs from August 12 to November 10, 2026, featuring five carefully curated thematic sessions presented in sequence. The exhibition showcases the works of top Chinese craftsmen alongside those of international designers from Europe and the Americas, covering diverse tracks such as fine precious metal craftsmanship, innovative material integration, intangible cultural heritage gold carving, and international avant-garde design. Notably, a CIIF exclusive zone will be set up in November to capture the spillover consumption effects of the China International Import Expo, achieving two-way empowerment between industrial expos and art exhibitions. The specific schedule is as follows: First is "Marvels of Elegance" (August 12-15), jointly presented by Austy Lee and Xiao Xintong, which blends 18K gold with rare colored gemstones, using rich colors and narrative design language to interpret the romantic expression of contemporary Chinese jewelry creation. Second is "Radiant Splendor" (August 19-23), co-curated by Karen Suen and HAOYANG ART, which breaks through the boundaries of traditional jewelry materials to explore the innovative integration of high-temperature oxidation coloring technology for titanium and natural pearls. Third is "Golden Artistry" (September 1-20), featuring national-level gold carving master Wu Qing, who will showcase 9999 fine gold masterpieces and demonstrate on-site the intangible cultural heritage craft of 1,200°C high-temperature fusion welding, presenting the ultimate craftsmanship of traditional Chinese gold carving. Fourth is the "European and American Designers Joint Exhibition" (October 10-15), gathering works from overseas avant-garde jewelry creators to further broaden the international vision of Shanghai's jewelry art. Fifth is the "CIIF Exclusive Zone" (early November), which will launch a special exhibition section in conjunction with the 8th China International Import Expo, accompanied by exclusive consumption promotion activities to release the synergy dividends of international exhibitions.

Throughout the 100-day exhibition period, JSD SPACE will continue to host a series of supporting special events. High-end jewelry appreciation private lectures, Chinese and foreign designer salons, and immersive pop-up markets for fashion influencers will be held in rotation, aiming to break down the barriers between professional industry circles and the mass consumer market. These events will showcase the diverse charm of jewelry craftsmanship, design, and cultural integration from multiple levels and perspectives, continuously stimulating the vitality of jewelry and fashion consumption. Looking ahead, JSD SPACE will serve not only as a venue for boutique jewelry exhibitions but also as a long-term operational platform for the Functional Zone to connect with global jewelry creative, industrial, and consumption resources. The space will continuously attract top global jewelry artists, international design institutions, and overseas high-end jewelry brands, regularly hosting international joint exhibitions, cross-border design exchanges, and industry matchmaking events to deepen the dialogue and mutual learning of jewelry creativity between China and the rest of the world. Leveraging the location advantages of the Bund and its seven composite industrial functions, JSD SPACE will continue to help the Shanghai International Jewelry and Fashion Functional Zone improve its industrial ecosystem layout and consolidate the foundation for building a new international benchmark for the jewelry and fashion industry that "leads the nation, radiates across the Asia-Pacific, and connects with the world." This will inject new momentum into Shanghai's efforts to build an international consumption center city and create an internationally influential fashion capital.
