Only 15 days remain before the opening of the 2026 China Green Convention & Exhibition Conference!
The inaugural China Green Convention & Exhibition Conference (CGECC 2026), hosted by the International Exhibition Economy Professional Committee (GuoZhanWei) of the China Association for International Economic Cooperation under the Ministry of Commerce, will be held as a key concurrent event of the Green and Low-Carbon Expo.
In a recorded invitation video, Lu Cheng, Deputy Director-General and Secretary-General of GuoZhanWei, noted that there is an inherent link between leading exhibition organizers and green exhibitions: it is both a social responsibility and an industry trend, and an essential path for Chinese exhibitions to become world-renowned.
Integrating exhibition, thematic seminars, platform launches and authoritative reports, the event builds a high ground for green exchange across the entire exhibition industry chain. Four highlights are unveiled in advance.
Highlight One: A 10,000-square-meter thematic green exhibition zone, with nearly 100 enterprises connecting the complete industry chain.
The conference sets up a 10,000-square-meter thematic green exhibition zone, gathering nearly 100 high-quality enterprises covering five directions: green booth construction solutions, eco-friendly new materials, low-carbon technologies, digital exhibition management, and green operations.
The zone showcases upstream and downstream green solutions of the exhibition industry, from venue renovation and booth construction to digital management and long-term low-carbon operations. It is not merely a display space but an efficient matchmaking platform: face-to-face communication among organizers, venue operators, builders and technology service providers; one-stop connection across the industry chain to break information barriers; directly applicable low-carbon exhibition solutions; the simultaneous delivery of technology showcase, business negotiation and experience exchange; and cross-industry collaboration with enterprises in energy, circular economy and green equipment through the larger Green and Low-Carbon Expo platform. It is about seeing solutions, implementation and the future, not just exhibits.
Highlight Two: Five high-level thematic seminars building a multi-level in-depth exchange platform.
The conference features a plenary session plus four thematic seminars, forming a systematic industry dialogue matrix. The main forum, the Green Convention & Exhibition Conference, assesses macro industry trends and interprets policy direction; the Green Venue Seminar focuses on green renovation, energy-saving operations and long-term low-carbon venue management; the Green Booth & Display Seminar explores modular construction, reusable booths and low-carbon display materials; the High-Quality Industry-Education Development Seminar addresses the talent gap and links industry, academia and research; and the Green Exhibition Seminar shares low-carbon organizing models and practical carbon-reduction experience of large exhibitions. From top-level trends to frontline implementation, and from hardware technology to talent cultivation, the seminars address the pain points of the industry's green transition.

The China Green Convention & Exhibition Service Platform is officially launched. It connects six major functions—policy access, standards review, carbon accounting tools, case references, a materials library and resource matchmaking—consolidating previously scattered policies, standards, technologies, cases and supply-demand resources. It provides one-stop online support for government and enterprise units, venues, exhibition organizers, builders and supporting service providers, enabling policy learning, carbon footprint calculation, benchmark case review and upstream-downstream matchmaking on a single platform.
Highlight Four: A major authoritative report debuts, offering action guidance for the green transition during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
The conference will officially release the China Green Convention & Exhibition Sustainability Report. Aligned with the 15th Five-Year Plan's requirement to "accelerate the comprehensive green transition of economic and social development and build a Beautiful China," the report systematically assesses the current state of green conventions and exhibitions in China, identifies industry trends for the coming years, reviews transition challenges and provides practical guidance. Grounded in the real development of China's exhibition industry, it combines data support, trend analysis and practical solutions, offering an important reference for local governments planning the exhibition industry and for venues and enterprises setting low-carbon development roadmaps.
