Peak Heat Season Arrives! Power Supply, Ice Making, and Summer Tourism All Arranged

As the 'Sanfu' period arrives, multiple regions across China are experiencing the year's hottest weather. Authorities are taking multiple measures to ensure power supply and heat relief.

For power supply assurance, State Grid and China Southern Power Grid are strengthening power dispatching and optimizing grid operations to ensure stable electricity supply during peak summer. Power generation companies are increasing coal reserves and improving unit availability.

To address high-temperature impacts on electricity demand, many regions have activated demand-side response mechanisms, guiding industrial users to stagger production schedules and encouraging electricity conservation. Meanwhile, distributed solar, energy storage, and other new power system construction is being accelerated to enhance supply flexibility.

For summer tourism, regions are launching cool-retreat tourism products. High-altitude mountain areas, lakeside, and coastal summer resorts are experiencing peak visitor flows. Cultural tourism authorities remind tourists to take heat precautions and arrange travel times wisely.

Meteorological departments forecast that during this year's Sanfu period, temperatures across most of China will be higher than normal for the same period, with some areas potentially experiencing extreme heat.
