State Council Executive Meeting Deploys Digital China Construction and Emerging Pillar Industry Cultivation

The State Council Executive Meeting reviewed progress on Digital China construction, calling for accelerated development of next-generation communication networks and computing power networks. The meeting also studied the cultivation of emerging pillar industries, promoting full-chain scaled development, strengthening basic research and key software and hardware breakthroughs, and accelerating technology iteration.

The meeting noted that Digital China construction is a crucial engine for advancing Chinese-style modernization. Building on previous efforts, it called for further strengthening top-level design and accelerating new infrastructure construction, particularly strategic projects such as 5G-A/6G communication networks and the national integrated computing power network.

Regarding emerging pillar industry cultivation, the meeting emphasized focusing on frontier fields including artificial intelligence, quantum information, bio-manufacturing, and commercial aerospace, driving full-chain integration from basic research to industrialization. It also called for intensified breakthroughs in key core technologies in areas such as high-end chips, operating systems, and industrial software.

Industry experts noted that this State Council meeting further clarified the strategic position of the digital economy and emerging industries, bringing significant development opportunities for related enterprises.
