On August 27, the 6th Shanghai Tea Expo by Huajuchen kicked off with great enthusiasm at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (Pudong). The expo brings together over 600 premium tea enterprises from across the country, showcasing more than 10,000 exceptional tea selections, alongside 20 engaging tea culture events. On the opening day, the venue was filled with the rich aroma of tea and bustling with visitors. The blend of traditional tea culture with trendy tea beverage innovations has made it a highly anticipated cultural and trade event in Shanghai. Running until August 30, the expo presents a fragrant industry extravaganza for tea professionals and enthusiasts in the Yangtze River Delta and beyond.

The opening ceremony was grandly held in the "Paper Rhyme and Tea Zen: The Cultural Heart of Shanghai" Tea Culture Activity Zone. Representatives of renowned tea brands, experts, scholars, industry leaders, mainstream media representatives, along with numerous seasoned tea connoisseurs and culture enthusiasts from across the country gathered to jointly inaugurate this year's expo. Covering an exhibition area of 17,000 square meters, the expo features 800 meticulously planned international standard booths and is divided into eight themed zones: National Famous Tea, Pu-erh and Dark Tea, White Tea, Vintage Tea Street, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan/International, Zisha Clay Teaware, Tea Aesthetics, and Tea Culture Activities. Spanning the entire supply chain, the expo offers a comprehensive range of premium products, from the classic six major tea categories and aged vintage teas to new-style tea beverages, aesthetically pleasing Zisha clay cultural products, exquisite teaware and tea attire, and atmospheric tea space decorations, making product selection and procurement hassle-free and highly efficient. Leading brands such as China Tea Haiti, Wuzhou Tea Factory, Yanba, Changxin White Tea, Diannan Guyun, Bingdao Yinxiang, Yuanchuan Chali, Tianxishi, and Huizhentang have all made their presence felt, showcasing hit new products, vintage aged teas, and limited-edition premium teas side by side. In addition, representatives from the Pingdingshan-Ruzhou production region, along with dozens of artisan brands including Yumo Xiangyunsha, Shidai Xiangtang, Xigongfang, Chen's Ding Kiln, Yigutang, Yunzengyao, and Yunlu Miaozao, have joined forces to display their unique charms in pottery, incense ceremony, teaware, and apparel.

Without the need to travel across mountains and rivers, visitors can enjoy a one-stop experience of benchmark premium teas from core production regions across the country right here in Shanghai. Representatives from eight core production regions—Guizhou, Dehong in Yunnan, Yingde Black Tea, Zijin Cicada Tea, Cangwu Traditional Liu Bao Tea, Taiping Houkui, Duyun Maojian, and Pingdingshan-Ruzhou—have gathered to bring the authentic flavors and genuine tea culture of their pristine tea mountains directly to the Shanghai exhibition halls.

Among them, the Guizhou region made a spectacular debut under the theme "Pure Guizhou Tea, Shared Globally," showcasing its core brand matrix of "Two Reds, Three Greens, and One Matcha." Through a dual-track approach featuring exclusive tasting sessions and immersive booth experiences, it comprehensively and multidimensionally presents the Yangtze River Delta market with Guizhou tea's unique ecological quality, profound industrial heritage, and dynamic brand vitality driven by innovative breakthroughs. The "Shanghai Tea Talk · Guizhou Tea Exclusive Tasting Session" was held in the Tea Culture Activity Zone, bringing together government representatives from Guizhou's tea-producing areas, tea distributors from the Yangtze River Delta, and media guests. During the tasting of traditional premium teas, three representative Guizhou tea enterprises—Jiuzhou Fangcun Teahouse, Mao Kexi, and Zhengshantang Pu'an Red—took the stage in turn. Focusing on their core annual products, they shared in-depth insights on tracing the origins of high-altitude ecological raw materials, differentiated product features, market-adapted channels, and stable supply systems. Leveraging the advantages of the golden ecological tea mountains at 27° North Latitude, the event also created a highly immersive and relaxing matcha market. Refreshing matcha ice cream, dopamine-boosting, visually stunning tea pastries, and tipsy matcha craft brews attracted countless tea lovers to taste and check in. The 7 million mu of ecological tea gardens have endowed Guizhou's tea industry with the confidence and ambition to go from the mountains to the teacup, and from the origin to the world.

Guided by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Guangdong Province and the Heyuan Municipal People's Government, and hosted by the Zijin County Committee of the CPC and the Zijin County People's Government, the "Guangdong Goods Go Global — Zijin Cicada Tea International Brand Matchmaking Conference" was also held at the venue. Over 50 international friends from more than a dozen countries gathered to use tea as a medium to taste the honey-scented premium teas from Lingnan, engaging in brand dialogue, production and sales matchmaking, and international cultural exchange. At the event, Lin Shiwei, Deputy Secretary of the Zijin County Committee and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Mayor of the Zijin County People's Government, delivered a speech, comprehensively introducing the development achievements of the Zijin Cicada Tea industry. He extended invitations to domestic and overseas businessmen, welcoming all parties to deepen production and sales cooperation and jointly promote this ecological, prosperity-bringing, and cultural tea to a broader stage. Breaking away from traditional models, this matchmaking conference featured immersive tea seating, allowing guests to savor fine tea and discuss cooperation amidst the lingering tea aroma. Exclusive international tea seating was also set up on-site, inviting foreign friends and overseas bloggers to enjoy an immersive tasting experience. This leverages secondary dissemination via overseas social media networks to amplify the brand's global presence.

This year's tea expo is not only a delight to taste and explore but also brimming with business opportunities. By collaborating with production region governments, industry associations, and leading tea enterprises, the expo has launched multiple precision business matchmaking events, facilitating direct access of premium tea sources to the market and end customers. On the opening day, key events such as the "China Tea" Brand Business Matchmaking Conference, the Guizhou Tea Exclusive Tasting Session, and the Zijin Cicada Tea International Brand Matchmaking Conference were simultaneously kicked off. Through diverse formats including brand presentations, physical product displays, on-site tastings, and one-on-one business negotiations, the expo comprehensively showcases the strength and brand charm of the tea industry in various production regions. Distributors and purchasers engaged in efficient rapid matchmaking on-site, achieving precise alignment of supply and demand, significantly broadening sales channels, and consecutively reaching cooperation intentions. This integration of production and sales not only ensures smooth transactions but also injects strong momentum into the high-quality development of China's tea industry.
